Wendy-VELUX Sun Tunnel-Columbia, MO

Wendy was referred to Dogwood Solar by her contractor. Her vaulted bathroom in her condo had a shared wall so adding a window was not a feasible way to bring in natural light. Dogwood Solar installed a 14″ TLR Velux Sun Tunnel. This low profile sun tunnel is barely visible on the exterior. This is a great option for neighborhoods who have restrictions against dome skylights. This gorgeous bathroom is now bright and cheerful thanks to the abundant natural light.

David & Patsy -Velux Sun Tunnel- Columbia, MO

David and Patsy live in a nice condo around a high end golf course. Their condo’s shared wall left their master bath without an interior window. There was no natural light reaching this space. David and Patsy saw their neighbor’s condo’s sun tunnel being installed and knew they had to have one too. Within their neighborhood, Dogwood Solar installed 13 sun tunnels! David and Patsy decided to add two additional sun tunnels to their dining room. The natural light from the sliding door and front door wasn’t able to reach that space adequately. After the installation of two sun tunnels, David and Patsy have a beautifully lit dining room ready for entertaining guests.

Nancy – VELUX Sun Tunnel – Columbia MO

We met Nancy at one of the Earth Day events in Columbia, MO. We bring pictures of our work as well as product displays. After seeing what we could do with natural light, we were invited in to brighten her master bath.

Weldon & Jo Ann – VELUX Sun Tunnels – Columbia MO

Weldon and Jo Ann love natural light. Their home had nice windows but the light did not reach into the core of their house, specifically into their dining room. The second location was the master bath, it was really dark because there were no windows! Their condo on a golf course had a shared fire wall between the units which prevent windows. A VELUX Sun Tunnel is typically the best solution for this challenge.

Peter & Lea – VELUX Sun Tunnels – Columbia MO

Lea loves natural light. She has remodeled their home several times over the years and each time brought more light in through vertical windows. All three of their bathrooms were still dark and could not have windows added due to their location in the home. We added a 14″ sun tunnel in the master bathroom and a 10″ sun tunnel in each of the other full bathrooms. The impact was dramatic and she can now “winter” her plants in the upstairs bathroom with the abundant natural light.

Tony – VELUX Sun Tunnels – Columbia MO

Tony saw one of our “before & after” pictures from another sun tunnel installation in Columbia, MO and instantly knew the dark spaces in his house that needed help. The kid’s bathroom had no windows and was in need of more light. The kitchen had windows on the west but much of the light reaching the kitchen was blocked due to a nice screened porch off the kitchen. The use of a sun tunnel brought the light to the spaces that needed it most.

Jill – VELUX Sun Tunnels – Columbia MO

Jill had two bathrooms with no windows.  She had checked into adding windows but the cost of the windows, installation, and siding work was cost prohibitive.  After meeting with Dogwood Solar and discussing options, she chose to have us install two 10″ VELUX Sun Tunnels. One in each of her upstairs bathrooms.

Judith – VELUX Sun Tunnel – Mexico MO

Judith’s home had a problem typical of many homes: an interior bathroom with no windows.  Dogwood Solar installed a 10″ VELUX Sun Tunnel and transformed the space.  Our favorite picture of this project is the last one, bright, natural daylight with no electricity required.
